Windows Engineer/Support Specialist

The Opportunity Netriplex has an opportunity for the right individual to work out of our operations center in Asheville, North Carolina. We are presently seeking a Windows Engineer/Support Specialist who is a Windows guru and has experience in web hosting on the Windows 2003 platform. This individual will become part of the team which designs and supports client hosting applications as well as other ASP solutions provided by the company. The right individual will be given significant opportunities for advancement within the organization based on demonstrated performance, leadership and technical aptitude.
The Prerequisites MCP certification is required, MCSE, MCSA preferred for Windows 2003. The Windows Engineer/Support Specialist must take a written test to prove competency in a variety of skill-sets before being considered for the opportunity and must provide documented proof of a Microsoft certification.

Industry Knowledge The candidate we will consider...
- Must have a strong technology aptitude
- Must be extremely familiar with Windows 2003, specifically in corporate and hosting environments. This includes configuring multi-server Windows 2003 deployments with Active Directory, DNS, IIS 5/6 and security.
- Must be extremely familiar with Exchange Server 2003, 2007 preferred.
- Must be familiar with SharePoint 2003, 2007 preferred.
- Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of DNS
- Must demonstrate TCP/IP knowledge and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with RedHat, CentOS or Fedora a significant plus
- Must demonstrate an understanding of hosting and managing a basic website (HTML, FTP, SMTP, POP3)
Education The candidate we will consider...
- Must have a degree in Computer Science AND two years industry experience OR if no degree, four years industry experience.
- Must have MCP certification, MCSE or MCSA a plus. If you do not have MCP certification but do have experience, you can take the test usually within a week. Do NOT apply before being able to prove receipt of this certification
- Must obtain additional certifications (company paid) every 6-12 months to maintain employment and to advance within the company.
