Netriplex BGPSelect™ Allows Customers to Pick and Choose Transit Providers
Asheville, NC – December 9, 2009: Netriplex, LLC, a provider of mission critical data center solutions, today announced the launch of BGPSelect™, a revolutionary transit customization solution that allows customers to pick and choose which Internet providers they want in their BGP mix. This new service gives customers unprecedented control over their network with no additional premium per megabit.
"From what we can tell, this is the first of its kind service for any data center in the world," explains Netriplex CTO, Jonathan Hoppe. "Giving customers the ability to pick and choose which transit providers they want in their Internet mix is a very powerful concept. Until now, if a customer wanted connectivity to specific providers, they had to purchase transit directly from the provider, pay cross-connect fees, and run their own routing infrastructure to perform BGP. Today we're changing all that. We want to make it easier for customers to get exactly what they want for less cost."
BGPSelect™ will initially be available in Netriplex's Asheville, NC data center and is scheduled to be released on December 15, 2009. Netriplex's Asheville data center boasts direct fiber connectivity to Atlanta, GA and Ashburn, VA affording low-latency connectivity options to over 200 global transit providers. The initial list of providers customers can choose from include Level(3), Global Crossing, Qwest, Savvis, Abovenet, BTN/PCCW, Telia, Time Warner, Comcast and Charter. It is expected that by the end of first quarter 2010, a dozen additional providers will be added to the available list based on popularity and customer demand.
