Netriplex Chooses Cisco for Network Upgrade
Asheville, NC – February 21, 2008: Netriplex, an international datacenter company headquartered in Asheville, NC, announced today a $300,000 upgrade to its local Asheville Datacenter which includes leading-edge Cisco routing and switching equipment. This significant enhancement was necessitated by increased customer demand and Netriplex's first high-speed, high-capacity OC-192 optical fiber circuit to Atlanta announced last fall.

"This upgrade greatly increases our network capacity to handle a new ceiling of 480 Gigabits-per-second and protects our entire network against a variety of emerging security threats through the additional deployment of Cisco's intelligent 4200 series Intrusion Prevention Sensors."
Netriplex chose Cisco because its Service Oriented Network Architecture aligns with Netriplex's push beyond web hosting to virtualization and utility computing. Plans to introduce several services made possible by the new Cisco routers are underway. Metro Ethernet, advanced QoS techniques, policy-based management and IPv6 are just a few that were named.
