Account Executive (Outside Sales)

The Opportunity
Netriplex is seeking experienced and highly motivated individuals with Information Technology sales experience to work from our Asheville, NC headquarters. The Account Executive is responsible for negotiating and selling—primarily by phone—our suite of IT Infrastructure hosting solutions to businesses. You will be responsible for making calls to pre-qualified prospects and making outbound cold calls. The Account Executive reports to the VP Sales & Marketing and requires strong relationship building skills. The Account Executive must develop account opportunities, define the solutions to meet the prospect's needs, and sell/close the prospect to meet business goals and sales quotas. The Account Executive will also interface with solution development teams to define customized product offerings and work with management on sales strategy. New business development and growth of existing accounts will be the primary focus. Inbound sales inquiries are assigned to Account Executives based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hunt for new business through various methods including relationship building, networking, cold calling, etc.
  • Prepare proposals and/or quotations for prospective customers specific to their requirements with back office assistance.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals according to sales plan.
  • Assess potential business deals, negotiate favorable terms and acquire prospect commitment.
  • Construct deals within selling guidelines (solution offerings, pricing, etc.) established by management.
  • Assist in business implementation of sales package.
  • Communicate ongoing contact/sales activities through sales pipeline reports and call reports.
  • Display a thorough understanding of assigned target industries and company's competitive advantages.
  • Listen to, identify and understand prospects' viewpoint and tailor solutions to meet prospect needs and expectations.
  • Work with internal service delivery to ensure customer is properly provisioned.
  • Follow-up with existing customer base on a periodic basis to seek referrals and additional business.
  • Assist VP of Sales & Marketing in defining and identifying potential sales targets.

Requirements
Qualified candidates will have...

  • Proven track record of technical sales success (with verifiable written documentation).
  • Integrity and trustworthiness while persuasively selling the benefits of our solutions and overcoming any objections. Strategic thinking and consulting skills with the ability to work within a team to meet sales goals and objectives.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written and succinct presentation skills to prospects at all decision-making levels.
  • Self-motivated team player who consistently strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations.
  • Exceptional research, analytic, presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • High competency level in PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel and Outlook. MS CRM a plus.
  • Excellent proposal/quotation writing skills.

Preferred

  • 2-3 years hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure hosting or hosted applications sales.
  • Minimum 2 years strong sales experience in an outside sales capacity.
  • Bachelors degree or Technical College education with concentration in Computer Science preferred.

Netriplex's compensation package consists of a small base salary plus a generous monthly recurring commission on all closed accounts. We specifically design compensation to reward hard working, committed individuals with advancement opportunities and exceptional salary potential.
